Where are you located?

We are located in Hockessin, Delaware.  Our physical address is within the Stone Mill Office Park, at 722 Yorklyn Road, Hockessin, Delaware, 19707.

What do you model?

You can find in great detail information about what we model, why we model it, and just about any other topic in between about the fictional Northern Delaware Railroad in The Railroad and Our History tabs of our website.

How can I visit?

We love to share our layout with the public!  We hold several public events throughout the year, which we talk about below...  If you would like to visit another time, reach out in the contact us page of our website, and our president and/or treasurer will respond and work out a time that you can come!  Currently, we are not allowing visitors, as we have cancelled all operations due to the coronavirus, but we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We enjoy having visitors at our operating nights, work sessions, and fun runs, but some of these events do get cancelled or have no attendance.  So, it is best to reach out ahead of time on our contact us page to make sure we'll be there!

What public events do you hold?

Each year, we hold 3 public events.  We attend the Greenberg Train Show in mid-February and Auburn Height's "Train Day"  event with our modular layout.   In November, we hold 2 open houses on our layout.

How can I become a member?

We'd love to have you, no prior experience necessary!  Of course, having experience and knowledge under your belt is wonderful, but everyone can contribute in their own way.  If you are interested in obtaining membership, please visit the membership page of our website.

Is the layout wheelchair accessible?

Apologies, but our layout is reachable only by a spiral staircase that leads up from the doorway to the layout floor, and because of this the layout is not wheelchair accessible.

How can I make a donation?

We greatly appreciate any contribution of funds, materials, and equipment to our club.  Every little bit helps us to improve both ourselves and the hobby.  Please visit our contact us page, which will send a message to our president and our treasurer.

Where can I purchase club cars?

What DCC system do you use?

Digitrax loconet, incorporating duplex equipment.

How can I start in this hobby?

You can ask any modeler of any skill level or background and 99.9% will tell you that they began with a starter set.  Ask yourself, what scale is right for me?  What kinds of landscapes do I like?  What engines?  What era?  These should be FUN questions, you get the opportunity to create something that's uniquely yours!  There is a learning curve, but with good effort and the want to learn, you WILL succeed!  Check out the resources on our Model Railroading 101 page for more help.
